At MDS, we have always believed that the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration. That is why we are delighted to announce our membership of Thrings Link, a growing network of specialist law firms committed to providing trusted, seamless referrals across the UK.
For our clients, this means even greater access to high-quality legal expertise.
What is Thrings Link?
Thrings Link is a nationwide referral and support network created by Thrings LLP. It was designed by lawyers, for lawyers, to help firms confidently refer matters that fall outside their expertise, where there is a conflict of interest, or when capacity is limited. The network is free to join and is built around protecting client relationships through a non-poaching commitment, rapid referral processes and ongoing professional collaboration.
Rather than viewing firms as competitors, Thrings Link encourages the legal profession to work together so that clients always receive specialist advice from the right solicitor.
Why this matters to MDS
MDS is a boutique medical negligence practice with over 20 years' experience acting exclusively for people who have suffered life changing injuries as a result of substandard medical care.
Through Thrings Link, firms who do not undertake medical negligence work can refer clients knowing they will receive specialist representation, while their client relationship remains respected and protected.
Better outcomes through specialist referrals
Medical negligence is a technically demanding area of law. These cases require detailed analysis of medical records, specialist expert evidence, and a deep understanding of complex issues surrounding breach of duty and causation.
Early referral to a specialist can make a significant difference by:
- preserving important evidence
- identifying the correct medical experts at an early stage
- ensuring limitation issues are addressed promptly
- providing clients with realistic, compassionate advice from the outset
For vulnerable clients, including families affected by birth injury or bereavement, being directed to the right specialist without delay can reduce additional stress during an already traumatic time.
Working together across the legal profession
One of the values we share with Thrings Link is that exceptional client care should always come before competition. Membership gives us the opportunity to build stronger relationships with fellow professionals, share knowledge, and ensure clients receive the expertise they need, even when it sits outside another firm's practice area.
We are proud to be part of a collaborative legal community that prioritises trust, professionalism and outstanding client service, working together to deliver the right expertise for every client.

Hannah Carr, Legal Director and Specialist Medical Negligence Solicitor from MDS, said “Joining Thrings Link reflects the commitment of MDS for collaboration across the legal profession. Medical negligence cases often involve some of the most complex and life-changing circumstances a person can face, and it's vital that clients are able to access genuine specialist expertise. We're proud to be part of a network that shares our values of trust, excellence and putting clients' interests first."
Jo Campbell, Head of Business Development of Thrings Solicitors "It is a real pleasure to welcome Moosa-Duke Solicitors to the Thrings Link network. Their expertise in medical negligence, combined with their compassionate, client-centred approach, makes them a valuable addition to our growing community of trusted firms, strengthening the breadth of specialist support available through the network and reflects the collaborative spirit at the heart of Thrings Link."
